Another circle puzzle! I’m not terribly excited by most of the Circle of Colors collection, but this one looked like a lot of fun and I was glad to try it out. It’s all for the fun design and colours though; I don’t know much about astrology and certainly aren’t familiar with any of the symbols, except of course those I can recognize as animals. As with the last circle puzzle, I attacked it one colour at a time, starting with the one that seemed easiest to pick out. In this case it was the orange, followed closely by green. From there however, I switched directions to work on the pink and purple before tackling the blue. There are a few different shades, sure, but about a third of the puzzle is blue and that makes for a lot of pieces to dig through.

I felt really good about this puzzle and was very happy with my time. Whenever I can finish below 90 minutes it’s a solid win, and the average for this one on MySpeedPuzzling is only 2 minutes faster. For the past several puzzles, I’ve been putting on my headphones to focus my attention but never actually played any music. Today however, I took full advantage of our living room’s sound system to blast some power metal and really psych myself up. I think it worked! In any case it made the puzzling a ton of fun and kept my energy up throughout. I don’t know if I’ll be adding music every time, but on days when I need a little extra oomph it’s nice to know I have that option.
